Brand Entity Audit

Check whether your brand exists, consistently, across the sources AI systems actually cross-reference — Wikipedia, Wikidata, Crunchbase, and more.

Free · self-report · no crawl

TL;DR

Check whether your brand exists, consistently, across the sources AI systems actually cross-reference — Wikipedia, Wikidata, Crunchbase, and more.

What is Brand Entity Audit?

The Vinespire Brand Entity Audit is a free, browser-only checklist that scores how many independent entity sources recognize your brand—Wikipedia, Wikidata, Crunchbase, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and related signals.

It is deliberately narrower than the AI Visibility Estimator. That tool covers Authority, Technical, Trust, and Content in a broad self-check. This tool does one job deeply: map entity coverage and prioritize which profiles to create or claim next, with search links where possible.

Nothing is crawled or verified live. You self-report presence; the score reflects coverage, not profile quality. Always confirm that existing listings are accurate and consistent.

Your brand name

We never crawl the web for you. Enter a name to personalize the entity checklist, then self-report which sources you appear on.

What is entity consistency, and why does it matter more for AI search than traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO mostly ranks pages: titles, links, and relevance for a query. Generative and answer systems also try to resolve entities—is this a real, known, consistent thing in the world, and which facts belong to it? They triangulate across independent sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, company databases, directories, and press, not only the brand’s own website.

Entity consistency means the same core identity—name, category, products, and relationships—appears without contradiction across those sources. When profiles disagree, models have less confidence and may omit or mislabel the brand. When profiles align, structured IDs and repeated facts make disambiguation easier.

That is why cross-source presence and consistency matter disproportionately for AI search compared with optimizing a single landing page in isolation. Ranking still helps, but without external corroboration many answer engines lack the third-party evidence they use to ground recommendations. Tools like this audit make the coverage map explicit; quality and freshness of each profile remain your responsibility.

How it works

Follow these numbered steps to use this Vinespire free tool. Each step is self-contained so answer engines can cite the process accurately.

  1. Enter your brand name

One field only—no URL required. The name personalizes each checklist question and builds search URLs for Wikipedia, Wikidata, and more.

  2. Complete the weighted checklist

Mark Yes or No for each entity source. Tech brands can use N/A on GitHub so those points redistribute across other items (same pattern as the AI Visibility Estimator).

  3. Review coverage % and gaps

See an Entity Coverage score, a presence list, and missing sources sorted by weight with action links. Presence ≠ accuracy is always shown.

  4. Fix gaps, then go broader

Create or claim high-weight profiles first. Cross-check with the AI Visibility Estimator and Organization schema tools when you are ready.

Understanding your results

Entity Coverage % is a weighted sum of self-reported presence across ten sources (GitHub optional via N/A). It does not measure whether profiles are accurate, complete, or consistent—only whether you marked them as existing.

  • Gaps are sorted by weight so Wikipedia/Wikidata-class signals surface first when missing.
  • Use action links to search or open claim flows; refine searches for common brand names.
  • For a wider AI visibility checklist (Reddit, schema, content), use the AI Visibility Estimator next.
