Full definition
Reviews, analyst notes, academic citations, open directories, integration marketplaces, and reputable journalism can corroborate what a vendor says about itself. Models and rankers use such agreement as a trust and selection cue.
Corroboration should be factual and earned. Fake reviews, undisclosed sponsorships, or mirror networks undermine trust when discovered and can violate platform policies.
Strong corroboration improves citation likelihood and reduces sole reliance on owned media in AI answers. See Source Diversity, EEAT, and Citation.
