Full definition

In measurement, uncontested wins mean the model surfaces your brand without naming peers; uncontested losses mean a rival owns the answer alone. Both differ from crowded shortlists where several brands share the response.

Uncontested prompts often map to long-tail, branded, or highly specific intents. They are high-value for conversion but easier to miss if batteries only test broad “best X” queries.

Expanding topical coverage and entity-specific docs can create more uncontested ownership of niche intents. See Competitive Displacement, Prompt Battery, and Topical Authority.
