Full definition

Displacement is observed by repeating a prompt battery over time or across models and noting which brands occupy recommendation lists, comparison tables, or citation slots. Losing a slot may reflect competitor content, third-party reviews, model updates, or your own content decay.

It is a relative metric: absolute mention counts can rise while share falls if the category answer set expands. Track who replaced you, not only that you disappeared.

Respond with entity clarity, fresher proof points, and stronger corroboration—not keyword stuffing. See Uncontested Prompt, Share of Model, and Content Decay.
